Niezależna.PL: on provocation danger from Belorussia’s side
Nowadays, it is spoken a lot about provocation danger from Belorussia’s side. This threat has increased due to the presence of mercenaries from the “Wagner” group in Belorussia. While the Belorussian opposition points out that even if wagners are in Belorussia, not a large number of them are there, but their influx is possible.
What signs do Polish services receive when it is about the threat from Belorussia’s side? – Katarzyna Gójska in “W Punkt” program on Telewizja Republika. The vice-chairman of the National Defense Committee, a deputy from PiS, Waldemar Andrzeł was a guest of the program.
- We have to check, analyze these threats, because I believe that they could be. You have to prepare for this. We are facing the most important parliamentary elections in Poland since 1989. Russia can go for actions that will destabilize the situation in Poland. We have to be prepared for different variants of actions, - the deputy, Andrzeł, warned.
Russia constantly handles the war against us at cybersport. The war, obviously, is very intense on their side. I also would better be prepared for real threats. You must watch it. The mercenaries of the “Wagner” group may do it; they may be prepared for different tasks, and a significant part of them are criminals released from prison. They are merciless people, - the deputy of PiS reminded us.
Answering the questions about real signs of Polish services about threats, the deputy Andrzeł mentioned:
- Our border was strengthened, we repulsed the biggest attacks, made barriers that are very effective. Migrants know that here, in this part, they will fail, but there can be various options: the migrants, but I think about the Wagner group as well, about other tasks and worries… - he said.
How can we expect provocations? – that is one more question that was asked in the “W Punkt” program.
I can expect any; some rule out the most radical ones, but I would better not rule anything out. I have seen different things; how the situation is getting destabilized, how it affects elections. Destabilization in Spain in 2004 with assaults reminds how it changed the government system. It needs to be analyzed very carefully; I’m sure that the military and civil services are watching it attentively. – Waldemar Andrzeł stated.
