      A million people follow Lina Kostenko's Facebook page!

      This public page about the most famous poet of today, Lina Kostenko, was created a month before Euromaidan, on September 22, 2013.

      I remember on that day I passed a medical examination and already knew that in a month I would go to the Republic of Crimea for military service.

      At that time, the most popular social network for Ukrainians was VKontakte, and I had already created several public pages there. It was a pity to me that comedians and clowns were mostly popular, at a time when the geniuses of the Ukrainian word were not heard. At some point, I took it as a personal challenge!

      This is how the community about Lina Kostenko appeared, which in the first week collected the first five thousand followers around the poetic word.

      Lina Vasylivna's poems, quotes from the book "Notes of the Ukrainian Samashedsh", these were the words that supported and comforted Ukrainians, and later united them around pro-Ukrainian values during the Revolution of Dignity.

      I sincerely thank my friends who have been there from the beginning and helped in the administration of the community. These are Volodymyr Uzkiv, Andrew AJ, Stepan Marushchak. Later, the administrators Yarsi Kreshana and Mariia Sheremet joined the project, who to this day fill the page with artistic masterpieces and apt quotes of the poetess. Even later - the designer and journalist Nelly Raina, who created more than a thousand visuals for the work of Lina Kostenko during the time of management.

      Special thanks to everyone who moderated or helped popularize Ms. Lina's poetry for new audiences: Dariia Bortnyk, Olha Khil, Andrii Babii and others. This project has always existed thanks to the energy of the administrators and the love of Lina Vasylivna's readers.

      9 years and 24 days of continuous volunteer work. During this time, an average of three hundred people joined the page every day.

      But it is now impossible to count the number of likes or reposts, just as it is impossible to measure the respect and love of Ukrainians for their Poetess...

      I know, the page about Lina Kostenko is important for the Facebook network. For many, it is a breath of fresh air, an inspiration in the midst of everyday life, a concentration of wisdom, love of life, Ukrainian meanings...

       During this time, my team and I have had two dreams: the first was to unite #million followers around the poetry of Lina Vasylivna. Another one is to meet the poetess #personally and thank her, convey greetings from all fans of her Word.

      So, one of the dreams, believe me, has come true, we believe that the other one too!

       We have always felt Ms. Lina's support, we knew about her approval of our work. And I am grateful to everyone who contributed to autographs from the poetess and cool raffles with her books, namely: Anatolij Serikov, Ivan Malkovych.

      At the time of the full-scale invasion of russia, it is important not to forget our Ukrainian senses, to protect the information front, and to continue discovering the prophetic words (and they are prophetic!) of Lina Kostenko.
