Moscow dreams about sanctions against Poland? The Prime Minister, Moravetski: ‘A typical Russian propaganda’

‘It is a typical Russian propaganda game. Russia is responsible for enormous material destruction in Poland’, - with these words spoke the Prime Minister, Mateush Moravetski, referring to the debates in the Russian State Duma and the words of its head about the sanctions against Poland. According to this statement, Warsaw is to pay Moscow ‘for post-war investments of the USSR in Poland’.

The Prime Minister, Moravetski, while his Monday visit to the port of Gdynia, was asked about the plans of discussion of sanctions against Poland in the Russian State Duma.

Russian concert of wishes

The head of the Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, in the statement posted on Telegram, stated that Poland has to be punished for ‘betrayal of historical memory’ regarding the liberation of our country by the USSR during the Second World War. He added that Warsaw must pay Russia over 750 billion dollars, which must become compensation for the USSR’s investments in our country after the Second World War. He also stated that Poland has to give back the territories that, in his mind, Poland regained thanks to Russia.

‘Russia has already evoked such destruction in Ukraine. Simultaneously, Russia, the Soviet Union, predecessor of Russia, is responsible for enormous losses, related to the devastating of a significant part of the Polish material base (…) It is also a typical – earlier I would say ‘Soviet’, now it is okay to say ‘Russian’ – gambling propaganda’, - estimated the Prime Minister.

According to his words, Russian propaganda ‘a lot of hundreds of years perfectly know how to wind round one’s little finger’.

‘They are trying to use strategy to dazzle everyone around, and I see the same as what Russia is trying to present. Russia, for sure, is to pay huge reparations to Ukraine and the others for what it has done. War crimes actually led to enormous economic losses’, - said the Prime Minister.
