Oleksandr Stets: ‘We need to remember about joint and very glorious pages of history, in particular, the joint fight against Bolshevik Russia’

Nowadays, Ukraine is writing its new history. The time of the first and second liberation competitions are to go into the past, because exactly now there are going on crucial liberation competitions. Oleksandr Stets, the representative of the historical society “Black Zaporozhets”, which is in Przemysl, pointed that out.

According to him, society’s goal is the return of undeserved forgotten national liberation pages of the history of Ukraine and Poland. However, now, during Russia’s war against Ukraine, the main attention of society is concentrated on helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

‘Ukrainians are defending Europe and democratic values by their lives and blood. Now there is an unprecedented chance for our peoples to get to know each other. The history of the neighboring Ukrainian people was not known among Polish society. We should remember about joint and very glorious pages of history, in particular, the joint fight against Bolshevik Russia and now, about the joint Ukrainian and Polish fight against Putin’s Russia’, - Oleksandr Stets emphasized.
